Kanohar Electricals Limited was incorporated as Kanohar Electricals Private Limited on November 13, 1972, under the Companies Act, 1956. The Company was converted into a public limited company in 1994 and renamed Kanohar Electricals Limited. Its equity shares were earlier listed on BSE, Delhi Stock Exchange and Uttar Pradesh Stock Exchange and were voluntarily delisted from these exchanges in 2010.
Established in 1972, the Company manufactures transformers and provides EPC services for substations and transmission lines in India. It caters to sectors such as power transmission, railways, renewable energy and power distribution. The Company is among five manufacturers in India with short-circuit test certification for 500 MVA, 400 kV transformers used in power transmission and 100 MVA, 220 kV Scott-connected transformers used for Indian Railways’ network electrification. It also has backward-integrated facilities and in-house technology for transformer manufacturing and energy infrastructure solutions.
The Company operates through two business segments: Transformer Manufacturing and Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC).
Its product and solution portfolio includes transformers, Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), EPC substations and transmission lines. The Company is also among four manufacturers in India certified by RDSO to manufacture 100 MVA, 132 kV Scott transformers for Indian Railways.

Dependence on Transformer Manufacturing Business: A substantial share of the Company’s revenue is generated from its Transformer Manufacturing Business. Any decline in demand for transformers may negatively impact its business and financial performance. Dependence on Government Policies & Transmission Utilities: The Company relies significantly on the supply of power transformers to transmission utilities, including state transmission companies. Changes in government policies or economic conditions may adversely affect demand and business operations. Dependence on Government Tenders: A significant portion of the Company’s revenue is derived from competitive tenders floated by government-controlled entities. Failure to qualify, secure bids or maintain the required pre-qualification criteria could adversely affect its business and results of operations.
